Importing Activities in Lato (URL, File & Text)
In Lato, you can import trip activities quickly from a URL, uploaded file (e.g., CSV/JSON) , or by pasting text directly into the importer. This feature helps you add multiple itinerary activities at once without manual entry. Below you’ll find clear, step-by-step instructions for each method so you can choose the best approach for your workflow.
Getting Started

Open the Library > Activities

Click the “New activity ” dropdown

Choose your preferred import method from the three available options
Import Methods
1. Import from URL
The quickest way to add activity details is by importing directly from a website.
How it works:

Copy the website URL (works with most activity booking websites)

Paste it into the URL field

Click “Import”
2. Import from file
Perfect for when you’ve saved activity pages or have activity documents.
How it works:

Upload the file
-
Click “Import”
Supported file types:

Maximum file size: 10MB
-
Format: MHTML (recommended, preserves images), PDF, or DOC/DOCX
3. Import from text
Use this method when you want to copy and paste activity content directly.
How it works:

Copy activity details from any website or document

Paste the text into the import field

Click**“Import”**

The system extracts relevant information automatically (text only, images won’t be preserved)
What Gets Imported
The import function automatically extracts:

Activity name and description
-
Location and venue details
-
Pricing and booking information
-
Duration and schedule details
-
Age restrictions and requirements
-
Contact information
-
Images (only preserved when using MHTML files, or URL import)
After Importing
Once your activity is successfully imported:

It will appear in your Elements Library

You can edit any details if needed
-
Add it to your trip itinerary with one click
