Importing Activities

In Lato, you can import trip activities quickly from a URL, uploaded file (e.g., CSV/JSON), or by pasting text directly into the importer. This feature helps you add multiple itinerary activities at once without manual entry. Below you’ll find clear, step-by-step instructions for each method so you can choose the best approach for your workflow.

Where can You Import Activities?

1. In The Library

1. Open the Library

2. Go to the Activities tab

3. Click the on the New activity dropdown

4. Use your preferred import method from the three available options

2. In a Trip’s Activity Element

1. Open a Trip

2. Click on the Itinerary section

3. Go to the Day be Day tab

4. On one of the days, open or create a new activity

5. Click on the three dots and choose Import activity

6. Use your preferred import method from the three available options

Import Methods

1. Import from URL

The quickest way to add activity details is by importing directly from a website.

How it works:

1. Copy the website URL (works with most booking websites)

   • Please use the full URL from the browser’s address bar, do not use share links

2. Paste it into the URL field

3. Click “Import”

2. Import from file

Perfect for when you’ve saved activity pages or have activity documents.

How it works:

1. Upload the file

2. Click “Import”

Supported file types:

• Maximum file size: 10MB

• Format: MHTML (recommended, preserves images), PDF, or DOC/DOCX

3. Import from text

Use this method when you want to copy and paste activity content directly.

How it works:

1. Copy activity details from any website or document

2. Paste the text into the import field

3. Click “Import”

4. The system extracts relevant information automatically (text only, images won’t be preserved)

What Gets Imported

The import function automatically extracts:

• Activity name and description

• Location and venue details

• Pricing and booking information

• Duration and schedule details

• Age restrictions and requirements

• Contact information

• Images (only preserved when using MHTML files, or URL import)

After Importing

Once your activity is successfully imported:

• It will appear in your Elements Library

• You can edit any details if needed

• Add it to your trip itinerary with one click

• Copyright: Ensure you have permission to use any content you import.

• Accuracy: The import feature uses advanced technology to extract activity details automatically. While we strive for accuracy, we recommend reviewing all imported information.
