In Lato, you can set a booking link as the default so that every new trip you create automatically uses your preferred booking URL. This helps standardise how bookings are generated across your itineraries. Below, we explain where to find the booking link settings, how to select your default link, and how it applies to new trips going forward.

What is a Default Booking Link?

A default booking link is a URL that automatically appears in every new trip you create. When your clients view their trip, they'll see this link and can click it to be redirected to your external booking form or website.

How to Set Your Default Booking Link

  1. Go to Settings > Trip

  2. Find the “Booking link” section

  3. Enter your booking URL in the text field.

  4. Click “Save” to confirm your changes

Your default booking link is now set!

How it Works

  • New trips: When you create a new trip, your default booking link will automatically be included.

  • Existing trips: Previously created trips won't be affected by this change.

  • Override option: You can still add a different booking link for specific trips if needed.

 Tips for Your Booking Link

  • Make sure your link is complete and includes “https://” or “http://”.

  • Test your link to ensure it works properly before setting it as default.

  • Consider using a short, memorable URL that's easy for clients to remember.
