In Lato, you can monitor all your ongoing, upcoming, and past trips from a central interface so you always know the status and details of each itinerary. Use filters by date range or traveller, access trip information in real time, and quickly switch between current bookings and completed trips. This article explains how to use the Trips dashboard to stay organised and on top of your travel workload.

Accessing the Map

  1. Navigate to the “Home” tab

  2. Look for the "Travelling" section: this shows your ongoing, upcoming and past trips

  3. Click the "Open map" button

The map will open in a modal window, showing all your travellers' current locations as markers on an interactive map.

Filtering by Date

You can view traveller locations for any specific date:

  1. Click the date picker at the top-left of the map (shows "Today" by default)

  2. Click "Today" to see current locations, or "Tomorrow" to see tomorrow's planned locations

  3. Or select any date using the calendar that appears

  4. The map will automatically update to show trips for your selected date

Filtering by User

To focus on specific team members or travellers:

  1. Click the user selector (shows "X users selected")

  2. Select or deselect users from the dropdown list

  3. The map updates instantly to show only the selected users' trip locations

Viewing Trip Details

Hover over any traveller marker on the map to see a detailed information card that includes:

  • Trip name

  • Number of travellers in the group

  • Current location (city/country)

  • Trip dates (start and end dates with duration)

  • Traveller details including names, email addresses, phone numbers

Switching Between Map and List view

You can toggle between three viewing modes:

  1. Map view (default): interactive map with location markers

  2. List view: list of all trips for easy scanning

  3. Calendar view: list of trips on a calendar view

  4. Kanban view: list of trips by strip status

Clicking on Markers

Click any traveller marker to open that specific trip in a new tab. This takes you directly to the trip details page for more comprehensive information.
