Three Ways to Create a Trip in Lato
1. New Trip - Creating a trip from scratch with basic details
2. Import File - Uploading an existing PDF or DOCX document
3. Generate with AI - Letting our AI create a trip based on your requirements
Creating a New Trip
1. Go to Trips and click the "New trip" button
2. This opens a simple form where you’ll enter basic trip details
3. You’ll need to provide:
- Start date - when your trip begins
- Client name - the name of your client or traveller
- Language - choose the language for your trip (defaults to your account language)
4. Click “Create trip” to generate your new trip
5. You’ll be taken to the trip editing interface
Importing From a File
1. Go to Trips
2. Click the dropdown arrow next to “New trip”
3. Select “Import file”
4. Upload your document:
- Upload a PDF or DOCX file containing trip details
- Our AI will automatically extract and organise the information
5. Review and edit:
- Check the imported content for accuracy
- Make any necessary adjustments before finalising
AI Trip Generation
1. Go to Trips
- Click the dropdown arrow next to “New trip”
- Choose “Generate with AI”
2. Describe your trip:
- Tell our AI what kind of trip you want to create
- Be as specific as possible about destinations, activities, and preferences
3. Review and customise:
- Review the AI-generated trip
- Make any adjustments to better suit your needs

Once you’ve created your trip, you’ll enter the trip editing interface with these main sections:
1. General
- Edit trip title, description, and client details
- Add traveller information
- Upload important documents
2. Itinerary
- Plan your day-by-day activities
- Add destinations, hotels, and transport
- Include activities and points of interest
3. Calculation
- Calculate trip costs and pricing
- Add margins and fees
- Generate pricing breakdowns
4. Price
- Set final pricing for your trip
- Add what’s included and excluded
- Create professional price presentations
5. Share
- Share your trip with clients
- Generate shareable links.
- Send trip invitations

- Tasks - Keep track of trip-related tasks
