In Lato, the built-in chat lets you communicate directly with travellers about trip details, updates, and questions without leaving the app. This guide explains how to use in-app chat to send messages, receive replies, share itinerary updates, and stay connected with your travellers throughout the trip planning and execution process.

How to Send a Message to Your Travellers

  1. Go to Chats

  2. Choose the trip you would like to use the chat for

  3. Type your message and press the send (>) icon

Your travellers will receive notifications within the travel app and via email when a message is received.

Cool Chat Features

  • You can delete any sent message by clicking on the three dots next to it and choosing "Delete message"

  • You can access the trip preview directly from chat by clicking on the preview (👁️) icon to the right

  • You can access the trip edit menu directly from chat by clicking the edit (✏️) icon to the right
